Villain's Lair

Dave Sanchez is an average boy with an after-school job and a pet gecko named Sticky. One day, Sticky reveals a wild tale about his past life of crime, searching for Aztec gold with a treasure hunter named Damien Black and a magical Aztec wristband, which contained shiny gold power ingots that could give superpowers to the wearer. Initially, Dave doesn't believe Sticky's story, but Sticky manages to convince him of its authenticity by showing him the wristband. However, Damien Black has the power ingots and desires to acquire the wristband. So the lizard and treasure hunter each have something the other wants badly. This leads to a hilarious and crazy adventure filled with over-the-top characters, humor, and snappy dialogue. This new series by Wendelin Van Draanen is an enjoyable and exciting read for young superheroes everywhere.
